You cannot lie in court. Period. I really do not see why that is such a difficult concept. There is no justice for anyone if you can lie just as long as the case turns out a certain way. Our legal oaths must mean something or we have no working judicial system at all (which may be true anyway, but still).
You know, don't you, that perjury is one of the most difficult charges to prove, because it has to be shown that the accused intentionally lied?
I happen to think Fitzgerald had to come up with something to justify two years, $2 million, so he keeps calling Libby back until he traps him in a "lie." Then he fashions obstruction charges around the "lie."
This will be laughed out of court.
clinton lied and did not get 30 year like they are talking now.
We are so over that! saying someone is lieing is tougher that proving it.
How do you plead. We have prima facia evidence you are impersonating a freeper!
True, and if he committed perjury or obstructed justice, he should face the consequences. However, as of right now, he has not been convicted. He deserves the presumption of innocence, as does everyone else, until he is proven guilty. We are not under Neopolionic Law here, despite what the DUmmies may wish. The burden of proof is with the state.
