Bottom line: if you are ever subpoenaed to appear before a Grand Jury

Take the fifth or just keep saying "I don't recall". It seems to have worked for her hiney*ss.

I bet Scooter wishes he did just that. His big lie was that he said he heard about Plame through reporters, but his notes indicate he heard it from Cheney. He was protecting Cheney (or so he thought). I give him credit for that. If this is all Fitzgerald can come up with, lots of people are going to be mad about the time spent on a non-case. If he gets an extension, many more will be mad. Fitzgerald has his hands full today.

Exactly. Scooter is an attorney. One of the 1st things attorneys tell their clients when being deposed or testifying is say 'I don't recall' or 'to the best of my recollection'. I can't believe he didn't do that. Unless he totally slipped up, I find it hard to believe he's being indicted for perjury, because he forgot about a meeting until he found the memo. From all indications, he's a bright person (don't think Cheney would have him in that position if he weren't), so this just doesn't pass the smell test for me.
