But if it was in the notes that HE TURNED OVER, then it makes no sense. How could it have been deliberate on his part? If not deliberate, then he would have misremembered something rather than lied about it. No? Besides, why lie? What is to be gained? There is much more to be lost. Libby is not a stupid man.
I have no idea .. it could be that he didn't recall... I guess it depends on what Libby actually said
Since it was "common knowledge" in DC, could it be possible that he heard from some reporter -and- Cheney?
In any case, this investigation doesn't make sense to me... almost implying that no original crime was committed. Why take 2 years for that?
Now they are talking about a cover up
How could there be a cover up if Libby handed over the notes?
What is needed here, and hopefully Fitzgerald will provide in the case of an indictment, is some exactitude.
It is possible, that Libby heard that "Wilsons wife, at CIA sent him" and that he learned her name from someone else....The phrases "Identity" and "name" are being used interchangeably in the media, and they have different meanings.
I would think he reviewed his notes prior to turning them over? Wouldn't you? If so, then any mispeak would go to memory.
Go suck eggs! FLAME WAS NOT AN UNDERCOVER CIA AGENT!!! After TWO FREAKING YEARS AND YOU ARE PROVEN LIARS AGAIN!!!
