What are you talking about? What does that have to do with anything I said. Someone wanted to bring Valerie Plame into this and my question was so Libby is going to use I had to lie the FBI and the grand jury because Wilson lied? Somehow I dont see how that gets off the charge that he obstructed justice, made false statements and committed perjury. YOu do note that Wilson is not charged? Duh?
The best question asked by a reporterette was, if Libby had not lied or obstructed the investigation, i.e., told the truth, would charges be filed against him for divulging Plame's name. Fitzgerald couldn't give her an answer, because the process couldn't be completed. He did indicate however, that it would have been a difficult call because of the law. Personally, I think Libby would not have been charged if he had been truthful.
Sorry , but so far the charges are very weak and quite frankly appear "motivated" This great prosecutor who can't give information at press conference did everything BUT indict Libby for outing a Covert CIA. He accused him he came within an inch of saying so but did not indict on that. And lets just wait to hear the details of the OoJ and perjury. Dollars to donuts will not stick. Sorry this as it appears is just BS from another Democrat in the system. Joe Wilson though NOT indicted is a lier and only escaped charges and investigation because the CIA curiously did not have him sign a confidentiality agreement. Yes very curious.
