HOW ON EARTH CAN ANYONE WHO HAS TESTIFIED BEFORE THE GRAND JURY KNOW WHEN AND WHO WILL BE INDICTED? AS FOR THE LAWYERS, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE GRAND JURY ROOM WITH THEIR CLIENTS SO ALL THEY KNOW IS WHAT THEIR CLIENT TELLS THEM.
Give direction? That means one thing to me, and it confirms what I've said all along. This seemingly trivial case based upon a non-crime, has morphed into perhaps one of the biggest stories of our republic. Fitzy could actually be setting up a new grand jury to investigate how the CIA launched a coordinated attack to undermine a sitting president in order to cover up their own flaws, failures, and corruption in the oil for food debacle.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

I don't see how they can. They only know what they told the GJ. And, I agree, the attorneys only know what their clients tell them. (it's still early here - need more coffee)
Only my speculation, but NYT is trying to cover their behinds and break or spin some news at the same time. We all know they often over exaggerate the truth and do a lot of spinning. I suspect they interviewed all of the witnesses they could (primarily those that work for the NYT) and their attorneys and are doing the same thing us FReepers are - trying to put together a time line and potential indictments without knowing the entire story.
Unless someone from the GJ is leaking, the NYT shouldn't have a clue what Libby, Rove or some of the others said.
