IT'S OFFICIAL!! NO ORIGINAL CRIME!!!!!!

from Joe Yellowcake's Fifteen Minutes of Plame-Fame Are Finished

Ms.Plame has not operated as a covert CIA agent in about nine years. One of her former bosses at the agency said that Ms.Plame made no bones about being a CIA employee - She told friends and neighbors. In fact, reporter Andrea Mitchell noted that "all the journalist knew" Valerie Plame worked for the CIA. If Ms. Plame's CIA status was supposed to be a secret, then it was surely an "open secret".

Appeaser? What a joke.

I guess your standard is that anyone who disagrees that YOU get to decide who lives or dies is an appeaser...

Why do you hate the Constitution?

so, do we know if Mrs. Wilson was undercover or not, and if she was not, can you still be indicted for perjury on something not a crime?

I just don't understand how a lawyer like Libby, while being advised by other top lawyers, could have made a dumb mistake like this

Maybe he just really did forget. Good God, how many people remember a conversation of several years ago. Think of how many conversations the Vice President's Chief of Staff has day in and day out.

My point is, if he did not deliberately lie, then he should not be charged with lying. And from what has been reported, that his notes said one thing and he said something else, I don't see how it was deliberate. Misremebering something is not a crime (last time I checked, anyway).

He'll announce that he just saved a load on his car insurance by switching to GEICO.

This indictment, if any, will be tossed before before it goes to trial. This is a plea charge in hopes Libby pleas to a lessor charge and protects Fitzgeralds batting record. If Libby proceeded or followed any testimony with a "to the best of my recollection" he walks as soon as a Federal Judge rules the testimony inadmissible.

"Okay, then who leaked the Cheney told Liddy story?"

Wrong 'Gate, Bill. This is Scooter Lib, not Gordon Lid.

CIA entanglements??

Entanglements? Heck's bells, the whole charlie foxtrot goes right back to that fifth column at the CIA. If Fitzgerald wants to do the nation a service, he'll follow this mess right back to where it started.

I hope in the end, Fitzy's hung from the media gallows, and we all get the last laugh as we point and guffaw at the media for going along with it from the start.

What about the original crime? Was she outed or not? And if not WHERE IS THE DAMN CRIME!

You expect them to pay attention to irrelevancies like that? That real issue is "Did we catch a Republican telling an inconsistent story?" Matters not whether it was about their grocery list or a CIA agent.

Of course President Bush should be a happy man today because it another victory for him and us but a crushing defeat for liberals and their media whores. They wanted Karl Rove head and they did not get it, all what they got is an indictment of Libby who 90% of American never heard of him, and the indictment charge was about a false statement rather than the actual leak itself.

Liberals were waiting for Fitzmas and so sure that they will get great nice car (Rove indictment), and all what they got a is a matchbox car (Libby, who?, indictment on a false statement to the grand jury not the leak itself). This has been the liberals 6 millionth fake orgasm since 2000 and their 8000th early fake declaration of victory but as usual it is crushed by the bitter reality of utter defeat.

Libby will do the same.
