It's so muddled that Fox needs time to make sense of it.

It sure does and we need to get a petition going to have Congress investigate what is going on! A petition would be good but also inundate your Representatives with e-mails, calls and letters demanding this.

Impeded grand jury's investigation.
Lied to federal agents. Lied under oath.
Not good. What I want to know is why Cheney kept on a staffer who was Marc Rich's lawyer?
This has been the cleanest administration in history and this will put a stain on it.

Entirely bogus. He had to get someone on something, in his view, so he settled on this. They'll do their best to get the death penalty, no doubt, or imply that he deserves it at the very least.

OK, then three years of community service instead of just one. He'll have to read Kipling, Longfellow, and Shelley to a whole bunch of 5th graders.

Well, doesn't everybody live next door to their attorney? /sarc
I hope the civil suit isn't just settled to avoid further publicity, but somehow I think it will be.

FGS, Jeffrey Toobin is saying that Fitzgerald will try to keep the fact that Wilson's wife sent him OUT of Libby's trial? What does Wilsons wife sending her husband to Africa have to do with Libby making false statements to the investigators or the Grand jury? Its immaterial. Libby could have proudly said yeah I did that and here is why. But apparently he didnt.
To: Txsleuth
I am a politics junkie....and I didn't know who Libby was until a year ago.... I first really thought about him when he Condi was made SOS and Libby was mentioned as a NSA replacement.

I believe that Cheney, Rove, Libby could all leave today...and President Bush would do fine, thank you very much.

"5 COUNTS. How horrible."
Horrible for Libby. But no others in WH indicted, no conspiracy, no leaking of classified info.
I'd say that after listening to the media over the last week, this is much much better than what was possible.
