My wife was born in Cuba but luckily her family escaped when she was an infant. We're always amazed at how ignorant people are about the conditions in Cuba. I'm not sure but I think that they still ration electricity as well as many other things that advanced societies consider necessities. It's also interesting that before Castro, Cuba was considered the most advanced of Latin American countries.

The miracles of Communism.

My parents were born there...left in March 1961.

I was there a year ago...and the conditions there are deplorable. And that's for people who have access to dollars.

I don't even want to know what it's like for those who do not.

And furthermore, Castro's regime is one of the most repressive against homosexuals in the world, yet the lefties still adore him. Go figure. Just goes to show lefties are just contrarians, they love any tyrant as long as they are against the US.
