If Bush nominates a real conservative this time the Dems are really going to feel the heat from their wacko base to filibuster.

And the filibuster will hold (with no nuclear option possible) if the Gang of 14 moderates agree that the nominee triggers the "extraordinary circumstances" clause of their "agreement".
