She was denied her rights.

What rights was she deprived of? If she had remained the nominee then she would have received a hearing and then an up/down vote. She and the president are the ones that withdrew the nomination.

Also, what false charges were levied against her? Also, why do you think that those opposed to the Miers nomination don't follow the constitution?

What kills me is people wanted her to have a hearing! Hello?! If everyone is saying she's doing poorly, do you REALLY want her on national television, embarrassing herself and thus the President as well? She did the honorable thing by withdrawing. It would have been horrible for Miers to have been the one "defending" our beliefs... imho...
