That's because, regardless of her politics, she is qualified to sit on the Supreme Court. She is a sharp legal mind, even if one with whom I have sharp disagreements.
None of us care if the Senate has to be shut down for an entire year over this. They'll vote the nominee in as soon as a BUDGET has to be passed. If that takes a month, a year, or never, I don't care.
Glad you don't care. I do. Our troops need money. The Katrina victims need money. The essential functions of government require money.
Fight or give birth to a third party that will respect it's conservative base.

The notion that this person is qualified is belied by the fact that time and time again she has INVENTED her own meanings of the U.S.Constitution in her opinions. She has referred to European courts/world courts in her decisions. This is ridiculous and has no basis for how the Supreme Court is to operate per the Constitution. Spending your entire life working for the ACLU should have been all the red flags needed for the spineless Republicans to tell Clinton she was doa.

Exactly, and when the next military budget comes up, tell the rats to stop obstructing the process and give the nominee an up or down vote and then we'll continue the business of spending your money.

The Republican party is the party of conservatives, the Demcrats the party of liberals. Middle of the roaders are people who either don't vote, don't care, have no opinion or who have opinions that contradict each other. These folks get to choose us, them or a third party. If middle of the roaders were a powerful constituiency, then the rat party wouldn't be catering to the liberals on everything they do. The Republican leaders can continue to ignore us AT THEIR PERIL. We've had enough and we're not taking it anymore.
There's a darn good reason why McCain is not the president and will never be the president; and that is because he ignored and belittled us and paid the price for it. I'm a betting man and I seriously doubt President Bush wants to call us out again.

Luttig is outside the mainsteam, but Ginsberg is in it? Or is she qualified and Littig and Brown are not? Or are they all qualified, but we shouldn't put Brown and Luttig up because it might hurt the feelings of the democrats. Which is it?
