Bush's pick was a bad one. If he had properly floated Miers and paid attention to the reaction, he would have never made the pick in the first place. That was his blunder and he and his advisers should know better.

I have to believe that either Bush is no longer listening to the advisers that got him elected. In fact, he may not be listening to any advisers at all beyond Andy Card and Laura Bush.

I TOO BELIEVE PRES.BUSH HAS STOPPED LISTENING TO HIS ADVISORS. IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS BY THE WORDS AND ACTIONS HE HAS TAKEN AS OF LATE. MAYBE HE DECIDED THAT SINCE HE WAS RE-ELECTED AND HAS NOTHING TO PROVE AND CAN'T FIGHT THE MACHINERY, HE'S JUST GOING TO CRUISE IN HIS OWN STYLE. THAT IS LIKE A POLITICIAN, WHERE ARE THE PATRIOTS IN GOVERNMENT?

I agree. It certainly seems as though something has changed regarding Bushs' actions recently.

I'll be honest, though I am entused about her withdrawl, I am really apprehenisve about his next pick.
