Stealth conservatives are probably off the list now. And open conservatives will not be able to get past a filibuster.

Let's see. So Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg can sail right through with no questions asked.

But someone who actually respects and knows the Constitution can't get a hearing, let alone confirmation?

I begin to think some of you really do favor liberal court activism.

Of a truth, I see no victory in this withdrawal nor in the hate shown this last month nor in the ideological divisiveness of the Republicans.

Again I aver that stealth candidates are off the table, and openly conservative candidates will either fail the 'extraordinary' test of the gang of 14 and thus not get out of committee - or will be filibustered without the Senate going 'nuclear'. Thereby, the default will ultimately be a moderate on the record who will turn some uknowable direction once on the Court.

I don't believe in judicial activism, period.

I even remember a time when "real" conservatives didn't either. Like six months ago.
