You're absolutely right, that's the way America works. She didn't deserve to be heard. Her past speaks for what she stands for now. Give me a break.

Most of my ideas have changed in the last 4 years. Are you going to say that I'm a liberal now because I was a liberal in my past? That don't work.

I don't know why some on FR pull their elitist attitude when a person like Miers is nominated. She deserved to go before the committee, and you can't put a spin on it. As an American it was her right. That you can't acknowledge that is sad.
