BTW, I received an email that stated that Cindy wasn't even a major player in Casey's life. That when she and her husband separated she basically gave sole custody to him so she could persue her leftist politicking. Casey didn't become important to her until he died in Iraq and became a useful tool.
Has anybody else seen or heard this? I don't know whether to believe it or not.

Bit of an urban legend about the divorce, not so sure about her not being there for him.
She certainly was not and not been their for Casey's brothers and sister. While giving an interview for a left wing website, they played the "How has Bush hurt your family" card. So Cindy describes how the kids are grieving, espcially the self-destructive behavior of Casey's sister. And Cindy plays the "Me first but I'm a victim" card and basically says, "Due to my work and my pain, I can't be for them right now."
Hey lady, it's "right now" or never because they need help now, not tomorrow. Tomorrow is too late.

A couple that had a son killed in Iraq who came to stand with us took a lot of heat from the leftists. One was quite cruel--he told the woman to her face she would never be a grandmother because of her support for the war. I am seething with white-hot anger. Yours as well as mine, rules of engagement and the reason for them, withstanding, I would have knocked his head off and yes, taken the legal ramifications.
I like to think I am a reasoned and calm individual, however, this is way over the top. I admire your self-control.
