It's subtle. UNESCO has direct connections into the US Department of Education, promoting all sorts of PC iniatives, GBLTQ stuff, etc. They organize children's organizations into global associations, such as the Girl Scouts USA, now a part of the World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides with a stated goal of producing "citizens of the earth." They have an ongoing claim on American monuments, such as Independence Hall. They have a say in how the US manages its national parks. UN officials have precluded maintenance of historic CCC buildings within Yellowstone for example. They run the Biosphere Reserve Programme which places large amounts of private property under UN "guidelines" exercising unconstitutional land use demands as enforced by American bureaucrats. Here's an example of that system at work. They run the "Man and Biosphere" programme (like the pagan logo?). Part of that programme is the Wildlands Project, which seeks to set aside 50% of the continental US as "no entry" zones, effectively cutting up the country and requiring permits to travel (they're really big on bringing wolves to your neighborhood). Then there's the Agenda21, or Sustainable Development, which is the essential backbone for Global Governance under the UN. That will affect every aspect of your life.

No big deal, really, nothing to see, just pretend it's an empty gesture and you'll feel just fine about it.
