okay, here's a "GREEN ONE" for you (an oldie I found in email)

@@@

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is "Patricia Whack."

"Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral."

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

yes, I love that one (and I did have that in my links above).. I missed so much that is green. REally appreciate your help.

I don't do much/any tv now but did years ago. Liked bonanza..followed Adam (drool); little joe, ben etc & their antics. Used to love I dream of Jeannie also. Guess, I have always had this secret desire to be able to clean my house that way! (and it surely needs it lately)

I am considered a good -not sure great- gardener. Have lots of plants, English gardens, herbs, wild flowers (the neighbors call them weeds) & a variety of trees/shrubs. Time & money are the limiting factors for most who love to garden.

I have a brown thumb. I even killed a catus!
But, my lemon tree is just fine even though it is infested with ants. When I ignore plants, they thrive.

I just thought of this since I am about to leave for the Farmers Market.

Fried Green Tomatoes

INGREDIENTS:
4 large green tomatoes
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 quart vegetable oil for frying

DIRECTIONS:
Slice tomatoes 1/2 inch thick. Discard the ends.
Whisk eggs and milk together in a medium-size bowl. Scoop flour onto a plate. Mix cornmeal, bread crumbs and salt and pepper on another plate. Dip tomatoes into flour to coat. Then dip the tomatoes into milk and egg mixture. Dredge in breadcrumbs to completely coat.
In a large skillet, pour vegetable oil (enough so that there is 1/2 inch of oil in the pan) and heat over a medium heat. Place tomatoes into the frying pan in batches of 4 or 5, depending on the size of your skillet. Do not crowd the tomatoes, they should not touch each other. When the tomatoes are browned, flip and fry them on the other side. Drain them on paper towels.

Absinthe was banned in the UK for many years but it was recently (last couple of years I believe) re-marketed. Whether the strength is different or not I do not know but they made quite a thing about it when it was bought back.

If you you want to try it click here to order though I am not certain if they ship to the US all it says is email them for postage rates for other areas

Did you see my link regarding Absinthe looking at the various ones on that site it seems that the strength is from 68 - to about 75% vol (gin, whisky, vodka is normally 40% so it is still a very strong drink)

Do not Absinthe and Pernod taste similar I believe they are both made from aniseed
