We moved from Venice, down to North Port 2 years ago. The vacant lot next
door was selling for $6,000. I thought about making an offer, then changed
my mind. Well I'll be darned the owner now is asking
$30,000 for the damn thing, and he'll get it.

Prices for houses have more than doubled in just 2 years, it's nutz I tell ya'.

When my friends started looking, I think lots were in the mid 20's, but by the time they made a few trips, it seems to me lots had hit the 40's...all in the course of a couple months.
