I am a fire breathing anti communist and I detest liberal philosophy. However, this guy made a mistake and paid for it with forty years of imprisonment and torture. Rapists and murderers walk free in this great country. You really have no sympathy for him? I feel sorry for this guy, and for you too.
God bless America!

This guy could have drank a bunch of beer or soju and walked south to go AWOL. He did not. He sought out NK by choice. He deserted his unit, the Army, and his nation.

He has acknowledged now, what he did was wrong.

But, I wonder how much damage his actions did to our troops in Korea and Vietnam during the era.

Traitor pure and simple.

You do have a point. He just walked away from his duty, but Clinton was let off the hook even being a real Traitor to this country. This poor smuck made a mighty mistake and paid far more than most for this mistake.

The only thing I feel bad about is that Jane Fonda didnt suffer like this character. He made his choice why should I feel sorry for him. This idiot who joined the Muslims against the US made his too. Why should I feel sorry for traitors any more than I feel sorry for a man who murdered his wife. I dont.
