COAST TO COAST THREAD: Looney George Noory talking to the guy who owns Mars
COAST TO COAST AM ^ | 10-20-05 | dfu

Comment on the show, if you can do so without laughing so hard that you can't type.

Georg Noory is just amazing. How does he get such credible people? He can't believe he is talking to the guy who owns Mars.

I wonder if Ronnie Earle listens and calls.

Bring on crop circles, chupacabra, Richard C. Hoagland, and remote viewing.

Next hour, we hear from a great storyteller. Aren't they all?

Sometimes C2C foolishness is such entertainment that you can't help but listen. Don't you need a break from the hard news occasionally?

My favorite was the guy who was at the Philadelphia Experiment and knew too much so they turned him into a child.

I miss Art Bell.

Seriously though, how big is this show's network? Is there no other overnight programming out there, that nearly every news/talk station airs Coast to Coast by default?

I listen to this thing in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. Noory is the perfect type to be a RAT--he's gullible. Last night I heard him allege there's something strange going on with computers.

Why I find that show interesting, is beyond me.

This is the big overnight show. I don't know if a real political show would make it. Getting senators as guests at 2am probably wouldn't work.

Actually, I enjoy it most of the time.

I listen because I fall asleep to talk radio. Years ago I had trouble falling asleep because I had business on my mind. Listening to the radio allowed me to get away from that focus. It has worked well, and I fall asleep fairly quickly.

Some political shows don't have guests.

I don't know, I guess I'm just thinking about the lack of competition.

I listen for the same reason but mine is different. I have no trouble falling asleep. I have Michael Reagan on when I fall asleep but when I wake up, it's C to C. I usually lie awake a couple of hours in the night. C to C helps to pass the time.

Yeah I do get fed up with the news once in a while. Usually listen to music when that happens. Also sometimes listen to replays of Rush.

...he's gullible.

He's a shill for the DNC, too.

And, he thinks we're gullible too.

He has occasional flashes of honesty. A few months ago, he supposedly got a "guest" to refund money on some
"Big Foot Cam" expedition.

I have to admit it was good radio when the guy was trying to explain that yes, they caught one, but one of the doctors
they hired kidnapped it before any pictures could be taken.

Or maybe the camera holding the photos fell into Mel's Hole.

On the hole, er, whole, Norry just rubs me the wrong way.

So you listen to C to C drivel, too? It's highly entertaining.

It can be. Oh, if I'm still not asleep, I'll set the sleep timer on the radio for an hour. I record the show out
of habit, just to see if it's entertaining.

I'll do a quick process on the mp3s to whack the ends of the half hour, speed them up, and move them to my PDA for listening.

More and more, I'll just delete the files, since the guests are boring, I'm bored with the guest, etc.

Besides the repetitiveness, they don't have either the variety, the occasional seriousness and intensity of
what Art provided.

The callers were much better too: The dentist that engraved "AB" on implants he "installed", the HS kid that asked
Art "...time travel...how come you haven't called your own show?", etc.

I also had the sense that Art went along with all of the nonsense and yet stayed above believing it but Noory seems to belive all these kooks. Maybe Noory is just a better actor but I think he buys a lot of it.

Do you remember Malachi Martin?

...yet stayed above believing it ...

Depends on the subject. He went on forever about "chemtrails". Finally, a caller pointed out that it was Spring, and there was loads of pollen settling on cars,
and maybe, just maybe, the people complaining about feeling sick were just suffering from allergies.

And I've only heard a repeat show with Fr. Martin a while back.
