why exactly is the title misleading as a "pot scheme?" that seems rather demagogic to me. it could also be a "goth scheme" or a "satanic scheme" or a "scheme to buy stuff online."

sorry but i give even less credit to such charges as i do to charges that video games or music made a kid do _____.

A law enforcement source said shortly after the slaying, detectives found clothing at a residence on Hunsaker Canyon Road that had recently been scrubbed with OxyClean, a household cleanser that breaks down organic stains such as blood.

"Dyleski did not talk much Wednesday night. He did not appear to have any scratches or injuries, the man said. The man was shocked when detectives told him about the alleged connection to the Vitale killing."

It was reported on Dan Abrams show that he DID have scratches on his face and legs.

She must have still been fighting when she was down on the ground. Being an attorney's wife she probably knew that if she scratched him his DNA would be under her fingernails. [just guessing on that last part]

Those injuries are nothing compared to what he will get when he goes to prison for life.

Thanks to the five liberal demogogs on the SCOTUS, CA will be maintaining this scum for the next 70 years in prison instead of giving him a much more humane death sentence than he gave his victim. I think Souter, O'Connor, Ginsberg, Breyer, and Stephens should have had to clean up that crime scene and wiped her brains off the walls. Maybe they'd rethink their sympathy for these poor "children" who are the most cruel and merciless criminals among us.

"Dyleski lives at a crowded, unkempt straw-bale house on Hunsaker Canyon with two other families."

Sounds like what used to be called a Commune and he looks like what we used to call hippies. The whole thing is shaping up to be the Manson Family Reborn complete with strange symbols carved into the victim. Nothing new under the sun it seems.

Where did this "journalist" or editor go to school? The article is extremely fragmented.

"His mom dropped him off so his dad could come get him," said the friend who asked not to be named.

Sounds as if the parents are not together.

Now that's a face I'm going to have to try to forget. That poor woman. Imagine being trapped in your house with something that looks like that? I haven't seen eyes like that since Manson.

The man met Dyleski about seven years ago through his sister and took him out to play golf and tried to be a mentor.

"To me he's a nonviolent person," the man said.

Doesn't look violent to me. Another peaceful pothead just snaps. He should have gotten a medical marijuana card instead.

No death penalty for minors in CA.

I wondered how folks would feel about that when something awful happened. Didn't expect it so soon.

A bicycle sits in the front yard of a home in the 1000 block of Hunsaker Canyon, the home of the suspect in the murder of Pamela Vitale. Chronicle photo by Mark Costantini

From http://www.adpsr-norcal.org/menu/Events/Calendar2002/Nov2002.htm:

Saturday
11/16/2002

8am - Dark, 1050 Hunsaker Canyon Rd., Lafayette.

Straw Bale Raising
Come to this old-fashioned Amish barn raising event. If you're interested in helping in someway that does not involve hoisting or hauling bales there will be plenty to do. Food, drink, and childcare will be provided (RSVP by 11/7). Anyone wishing to spend the night, is welcome to pitch a tent or to sleep on the subfloor in a sleeping bag. Info: 925/284-0142.

The phone reverses to a Frederick and Kimberly Curiel at that address.

It's also apparently the home of a certain Esther Fielding, who is into DNA Activation. Whatever.

Sounds like a regular old commune.
