I didnt know that. I guess I should have assumed it. The writer says he believes the statue of Macarthur should be on the Mall, I heartily disagree with that, Washington has many statues of generals they are usually in a circle somewhere , but not on the mall. As far as I know --no general has a Memorial on the mall other than George Washington, and none should be there.I am sure a place could be found, perhaps at Arlington or perhaps somewhere in Anacostia where Macarthur drove off the Bonus marchers.
