I graduated from a catholic elementary school where the proper values and faith-based education were taught, then went to public HS while some other classmates went to the local catholic HS.

What I noticed about mass attendance in HS was that those who went to the public hs were there and those who went to the catholic hs were not. As it turned out, those who went to the Catholic HS had some liberal priests as theology teachers and told the "teenagers" that they didn't have to attend mass every Sunday and that it was OK to miss mass once in a while.

well, that's all a teen needs to hear. My cousin went to the same HS too.

A friend of mine today, who attended st. Peter's prep, in jersey city, told me that one of his priest theology teachers intimated that Christ didn't walk on water; He walked on a sand bar.

And look at other fr posts, there was just one recently posted where a catholic school teacher volunteered on weekends as an escort for planned parenthood.

Some of these schools just ain't what they used to be.

Thank you for this.

"Some of these schools just ain't what they used to be."

Sad, but true.

That is why this school, principal and staff should be supported and commended.
