Well it can be very bad if it is not caught in time. Most people ignore the warning signs especially if they are in high stress jobs, and how many jobs are low stress? My GI Doctor insists that it is something that is predetermined by Family History, but there has never been any on either side of the Family, I am the first and hopefully the last. A word of caution to everyone over 40, get a Colonoscopy, the prep is worse than the actual Colonoscopy. If you have no polyps or anything suspicious and no Family History, they will tell you come back in 3 or 4 years. I am sure Tony can verify that most Colon Cancer Patients would rather go through ten Colonoscopies than have to have one Cancer Operation. err on the side of caution. Nuff said on this subject by me.

Yep, I have all the "Rountree" traits - unforgiveable and unbelievable memory, pattern recognition, imagry, verbal AND math ability - but the problem is, Great Auntie died of Alzheimer's.
Sigh. That mean that I have Alzheimer's one generation back on both sides. My Great Aunt on my Dad's, and my maternal Grandmother.
If I start forgetting things, I think I'm gonna buy a gun because I sure don't have the money that Alzheimer's care requires these days. I don't have any kids to "guilt" into taking care of me.
