I hope that you take this post in the spirit in which it is given.

I think that many (including myself) were ready to fight in hand-to-hand combat with libs over this next nomination. I think that we all were salivating to tear into the jugular of dickheads such as schumer, klintoon, biden, leaky leahy, kennedy, reid and the likes.

This nomination set off a firestorm of protests due to this unknown quantity removing our target, the libs. This effectively delayed or even killed the coming battle. In the absence of our usual enemy, we have turned on each other in a malaise that will tear to shreds, the very fabric of our movement.

Words have consequences. Many things have been said in print, on TV, and even here that will be used against us in ways that will be impossible to refute. Many of these things are not true, but lie at the core of the dim's attack plan. How can we refute certain bogus claims, when the dims can simply use our own words and actions against us.

You can believe this or not, but statements out of pundits such as Coulter, Ingraham, Will and others will stain their reputations for life. I know that many that oppose Miers think this is ludicrous, but I have it on authority that dims are already putting together TV ads (with the help of the likes of the Thomlinsons) to use in the 2006 midterms. 2008 could be the bloodiest year we have ever faced.

We have not reached the point of no return yet, but we are perilously close to the edge. I am praying for all of us that cooler heads will prevail. After 30 years of activism, I do not know if I will have the energy left to start over.

I take your post in the spirit it is given, but don't think for one second thatteh words of internal squabble will be useful by the libs. A reconciliation can happen with mea culpa, etc, and the conservative movement will be as powerful as ever, or moreso.

The target is big, dishonest and murkey government. Bush gave us a murkey nominee. This is his fault, but that doesn't mean I don't support him. But I do support the principle of open, transparent and if need be fight for principle - before I support the man.

Bush & the Senate collaborated to try to achieve a "quiet" process. Now we are holding their feet to the fire. THe battle isn't much delayed. Maybe 6 months worth or so, worst case while this nasty mess is carefully disposed of.

Don't sweat the pundits. They are big girls and boys. Just keep a clear head, and look out for family, country and principle. It's the best one can do.
