Wrong-O. We fly the Lone Star at the same height as the Stars and Stripes. It was written into the agreement that made the Republic of Texas a US state.

Not trying to be a stickler on this as I also live in Texas - a wide spot in the road in Denton County called Krugerville (sometimes referred to endearingly as "Hooterville") - but exactly where is this written?

I've often heard this story as well for years but no one has ever provided said where one could find this "statute."

Didn't we retain the right to secede in the agreement too? Long time since my TX history.

Basil, I'll asked you to provide a link to that agreement, especially where the flag part is written. It isn't there. Secondly all states fly their flag at the same height as the US flag when flown on poles side by side. If it's flown on the same pole then the US flag is flown on top. And there is nothing in the US Flag Code regarding Texas having any right nor in the Texas Flag Code....

Any links you can provide would be helpful.
