Juneteenth is Martin Luther King Day. Frankly, nothin' much happens that day but it's a paid government holiday and an excuse to eat fried chicken and watermelon.

Juneteenth is a holiday in Texas that celebrates the day Texas slaves found out they had been emancipated. Its celebrated on June 19th. Its beginning to spread to other states, IIRC
