Californians did not belive me when I told 'em Dom DeLouise did not do Marvin Zindler justice.
There only two things in life that make it worth livin'
That's guitars that tune good and firm feelin' women
I don't need my name in the marquis lights
I got my song and I got you with me tonight
Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love
Chorus:
Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys
This successful life we're livin' got us fueding like the Hatfield and McCoys
Between Hank Williams pain songs, Newberry's train songs and blue eyes cryin' in the rain
Out in Luckenbach Texas ain't nobody feelin' no pain
So baby let's sell your diamond ring
Buy some boots and faded jeans and go away
This coat and tie is choking me
In your high socitey you cry all day
We've been so busy keepin' up with the Jones
Four car garage and we're still building on
Maby it's time we got back to the basics of love
Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys

Because you eat Nopalitos or are diabetic? (either makes you an honorary Hispanic)
But, seriously, if you are diabetic, you should try to incorporate nopalitos and cinnamon (though not in the same dish) into almost every meal (though they are an acquired taste).
SPOOKY. There is the distinct possibility that we are kin in some way. I LOVE nopalitos with eggs. Also, I've had my BELLYFULL of calavisita con pollo this summer. Bunelos on New Years?
Seguro que Si
Real Tamales for Christmas too.
>No other state has people who are as proud of where they're from as we are, why is that?
Post 138 says it all.
My relatives are all along Lake Cherokee, where my wife and I will probably move a few years from now. You just cannot beat the low crime rate compared to the cities too!
need recipe please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I can't make a personal recommendation. We didn't stop, just saw the sign.
Con chocolate' y canela caliente'? (We've given it up on New Years for champagne. Probably would if we were teetotalers, but when I was a child it was always hot chocolate and bunuelos on New Years).
Snopes.com debunks the Texas flag myth with links to references. Tried to make a link, failed, cut and paste broken too. Go to Snopes.com and put "Texas Flag" in the search field.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT TEXAS
You ask me what I like about Texas
I tell you it's the wide open spaces!
It's everything between the Sabine and the Rio Grande.
It's the Llano Estacado,
It's the Brazos and the Colorado;
Spirit of the people down here who share this land!
It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand
It's a quarter for the jukebox, boys,
Play some songs by your favorite Austin Texas band!
You ask me what I like about Texas
It's the big timber roundneck Nacadoches
It's driving El Camino Real into San Antone
It's the Riverwalk and Mi Tierra
Dancing to the Cotton-eyed Joe
It's stories of the Menger Hotel and the Alamo!
(You remember the Alamo!)
It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!
It's a quarter for the jukebox, boys,
Play some songs by your favorite Austin Texas band!
Hey, you ask me what I like about Texas
It's Blue Bonnet and Indian paint brushes
Swimming in the sacred waters of Barton Springs
It's body surfing at Frio
It's Saturday night in Del Rio!
Driving across the border for some cultural exchange!
It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!
It's a quarter for the jukebox, boys,
Play some songs by your favorite Austin Texas band!

Yee-Hoo! That's what I like about Texas! Yehaw!
Sorry. That is a family secret. I'd have to kill you.
My dad used to play with those guys (ZZ Top) locally in Tx many many yrs before they hit it big. I didnt believe him as a kid until he showed me the pictures in the family's photo album. Just..wow..beyond words :) He wasnt a member of THEIR band, but rather opened for them I think in some nightclubs.
diabetic. Missed on the Nopalitos. All I was lookin' for in the valley was tequila ($.10 a shot) or dove.......
My friend called me one night and asked me to come help identify the critter in her kitchen light fixture. It was a scorpion, albeit a little one. She lives in Norcross GA. She found a couple around her house when they were building on the lots behind her house.
The ones she found were really little though. The exterminator told her they would not be poisonous but it would be like a spider bite if she or her children got stung.
Didn't we retain the right to secede in the agreement too? Long time since my TX history.
