it is a joke..making fun of the pro-miers people. You are a joke. It's a good thing you are a Bush hater. We would hate to have you on our side. You and Cindy Sheehan make quite a team.
I wish you and everyone like you would get as far away from the Republican Party as possible. I hated it when Buchanan and the antiSemites had anything to do with the GOP. Glad to see them gone forever.

LOL What part of this convinces you that he wasn't supportive of her nomination
"She is quiet, discreet, intensely loyal to Bush personally, and - though not ideologically conservative - nonetheless firmly pro-life. Plus she's a woman. Double plus - she'd be a huge surprise, and the president loves springing surprises on Washington and those pundits who think they know it all."

No, my point is that convincing the public that she should be confirmed to the Supreme Court is a much more difficult task than convincing us that she is an acceptable nominee for a lower court.According to Rasmussen Polling, 65% of the public believe she will be confirmed. IOW, they're already convinced.
Source.

Call your Senator and bitch I called and politely expressed my like for Ms. Miers, and my dismay over the nomination. My rationale had nothing to do with the nominees qualifications.
you're wasting your time an energy here.
So are you. Buck up, bucko. Add something to the debate instead of playing master sophist.

I've read this before and still don't see where he endorses her. He is clearly savering a prediction as all journalists do. He even admits to her not being a conservative. I don't understand getting an endorsement out of this at all.
To: MJY1288
What part of this convinces you that he wasn't supportive of her nominationNothing. He's stating Bush's reasons for nominating her, not his own support. You smeared Frum with a comparison to Kerry and you can't back it up.

I think you stretch it to put Thomas Sowell and Fred Barnes on her side. Not against her, and putting her appointment into context and/or addressing her critics, is not the same as for her. They have been fairly critical in their comments about the quality of the appointee.
You also forget Mark Steyn, who stated "I'm basically in the neither of the above camp."
Many of us are, though I personally think if I have to be in the 'neither of the above' camp, the President didn't appoint a very good nominee.
