I would rather err on the side of safety.

I would rather err on the side of freedom.

The mere ownership of one of these animals raises a question about whether or not the person is responsible.

Elitist and naive codswallop.

These dogs are just too dangerous

All dogs are potentially dangerous.
Larger dogs are potentially more dangerous.
You have a right to be safe...
But this does not give you the moral authority to impose your will upon me if I am a responsible owner and my pet innocent of any unacceptable behavior.

I knew it wouldn't take long. You just don't have any defense for these dogs. That's my opinion. If one's in my neighborhood and gets loose, and it gives me a half second of doubt as to its intentions to be violent, and it's on or near my property, it's 9mm Black Talon hollowpoint justice time. It is my personal opinion that these dogs cannot be trusted, and too many owners cannot be trusted to be responsible. I will err on the side of safety for my children.
