I think the Kennedy/McCain Immigration Bill is like you described...but the Kyl/Cornyn Bill..that is more like Bush wants..has a guest-worker program...

The Kennedy/McCain one definitely has amnesty...

I saw that the government is sending Federal marshalls down to the border as we type...so that is good.

Also, I saw on Fox tonight that a poll showed that 51% of Americans favor a wall built between the Mexico and USA borders...

Therefore, I dare say it will be tweaked...but I really think Bush leans more the way you say you want it than you think...

You are not mad that the troops are still in Iraq....you want more troops??? Bush SAYS he has ordered as many sent as the field Generals ask for...so either we believe him and blame the military...

Or call Bush a liar...and blame him for not enough troops...I just don't know the answer to that one...

I guess what I am trying to say is...that Bush isn't King or Dictator....he is the POTUS, and he has the Bully Pulpit...but even Billy Graham preaches to people that leave and sin....

So..Bush should not be blamed totally for the deficit spending, or all of the other things...CONGRESS needs to take their share...and, having watched the coverage on C-span as much as I have...

I and many other freepers have come to the conclusion that Congress is broken and needs to be fixed...

And, along with that...Bush needs to listen to the RIGHT people...LIKE YOU!!! LOL

I don't recall the Kyl/Cornyn bill offhand, but I do know that Kennedy/McCain has amnesty and I do NOT support it (another reason McCain is DOA in 2008).

Also, I saw on Fox tonight that a poll showed that 51% of Americans favor a wall built between the Mexico and USA borders...

I am also for a wall as you can tell from my FR "about" page.

You are not mad that the troops are still in Iraq....you want more troops??? Bush SAYS he has ordered as many sent as the field Generals ask for...so either we believe him and blame the military...

More troops is not necessarily the answer and I believe that if the Commanders on the ground wanted more they would get more. If not, armchair quareterbacks as myself shouldn't claim we need more. I simply want what the troops in Iraq want, proper equipment, training, and to be left alone to do their job and win - not to have to look over their shoulder for a camera or call a lawyer to check what they can or can't do on the battlefield (I'm exaggerating of course).

Or call Bush a liar...and blame him for not enough troops...I just don't know the answer to that one...

Not at all. I only wish that he would unleash our military to do their job and defeat the enemy where we find them in Iraq, Syria, Iran, etc.

So..Bush should not be blamed totally for the deficit spending, or all of the other things...CONGRESS needs to take their share...and, having watched the coverage on C-span as much as I have...

The buck stops, or is spent, with his signature. If he vetoed spending and sent it back for a good trimmin' now and then we'd be much better off.

I and many other freepers have come to the conclusion that Congress is broken and needs to be fixed...

That's an understatement! ;)

And, along with that...Bush needs to listen to the RIGHT people...LIKE YOU!!! LOL

I have opinions and express them here. Some may be good/right, some may be bad/wrong. I am only human and therefore fallable. If only some FReepers would understand the President is, too.
