Krauthammer has come down on the opposite side of me a lot lately...on other subjects as well...even though he isn't shrill...I find myself not listening to him with the same "respect".
Ever since he talked up that movie about the 2 guys in winemaking country - that got Academy Wards which only proved any dearth of quality from Hollywood for the voting that year, I have discounted Krauthammer. Based on how he aved for 2 shows on Special Report with Brit about that movie, a friend and I went.
Oh my - she went to sleep, the dialogue was so full of innuendo, double entendre's (okay, she couldn't figure out most of it. Not the brightest bulb in the box) but I kept waiting for it to get better, or get funny, or have a plot. It never did.
Ever since that, I have not listened to Krauthammer or taken one thing he's said seriously.
41% is higher than Reagan's lowest. Clinton and Bush 1's were also lower. Fox is killin me lately, McCallum was bad enough now Hemmer and Carlson. What's up Roger Ailles??
Holy elementary school drive time, Batman, give us some warning before you talk about sex oil sales at Walmart!
I figured Kristol's partner, Fred Barnes, would take up for him, but, to my utter amazement, even Fred slammed Kristol saying he was over the top.
Fred knows he has to keep the peace or readership will decline. He's probably furious with Kristol.
That may be ALL we hear about it---
jeez louise...I seem to remember when the first voting was taking place...Timmy Russert had John Kerry for the whole hour on MTP...and didn't even mention the voting...
Last months Afghanistan voting got VERY LITTLE coverage...
I bet if there is carnage...it will get a lot of air time...and the note that you made, if it goes well.
ABC NEWS radio reported about the televised interview that Bush had with the military in Iraq this morning by saying.."A hand-picked group of military troops were gathered to talk to President Bush...." had to get the hand picked in there!!!!!
Look what I found, don't forget the cheat sheet link:

I haven't watched him since he trashed Michelle Malkin.
And you certainly have him and his ilk pegged.
But I am mad:
- mad that 15M ILLEGAL aliens are in our country taking jobs and once-decent wages meant for Americans
- mad that despite being in time of war (it has yet to be declared and an enemy defined) we don't have secure borders
- mad that instead of enforcing the LAW the President is suggesting amnesty for 15M law-breakers with no concepts for border security
- mad that we send billions of dollar each year to our enemies despite having all the energy we need within the US
- mad that Syria and Iran are shoveling fascists, supplies, money, and training into Iraq that's used to kill our soldiers and undermine our goals there yet all we get is more talk and support for a toothless EU delegation
- mad that the Federal Govt. is growing and becoming more inefficient
- mad that Federal spending is growing out of control
- mad that instead of selecting a known Constitutionalist to the court we get the President's personal lawyer (huh?), friend (who cares!), Sunday school teacher (who cares!), Evangelical (wasn't a nominee's religion off limits?), first female head of the Texas Bar (so what!)
None of this bothers you? The President is still Infallible in your eyes? Then to you the Party has become one of personalities and not principles.
Great clip!
Rush has always been at his best when he was raging against the machine, not acting like he was caught up in it.
I'm all for Rush leading us out of the Promised Land, but he's going to have to suck it up and stop worrying about offending his pals like Coulter or Malkin or Will, and tell them to get over themselves.
In years gone by, he never worried about offending us, his loyal listeners, and didn't hesitiate to tell US to get over it. He needs to exercise some tough love at the Institute, and that means aknowledging when people like Ann Coulter jump the shark with ugly rhetoric.
That is very neat.
Freep this poll:

I usually expect whiny liberals to complain about hurt feelings and unfair attacks.
I think that conservatives as a whole are used to it, and can shrug off the over-the-top rhetoric.
The past couple of weeks I think we have been overly sensitive, looking for offense wherever we can find it so we can be righteously indignant.
Even presuming your opponent is engaging in such tactics, the best way to get the facts is to IGNORE the attacks, rather than complain about them.
Whether Laura Bush unfairly called some attacks on Miers sexist (and I don't think her comments were unfair or scripted), makes no difference for the real question which is whether Miers is qualified. We wouldn't believe Laura if she said Miers WAS qualified, so why do we take her perceived attack as proof she isn't? "Oh, if Laura thought she was qualified she wouldn't have to stoop to these attacks". Who cares.
I have missed most of his show today.
What was the article?
Didn't work out did it? Great points today though!!
I don't know Rush, I've sent bunches of email to Hagel and he's gone farther to the dark side.
Thank you RUSH! CALL your Congresscritters. It helps!
