BLOW THEM UP! BLOW THEM UP!
how dare they be idolized. in the name of muhammad...
maybe it's a sign they will start treating their women better.
teeman
Big deal. They found the first Hillary! campaign posters.
Winged goddesses or angels?
My first thought, too.
I was thinking comets or meteors.
Strange, sure looks like a woman! Still, the crazy mullah's what will they say now ?
1125 BC A confederation of Hebrew tribes known as Israelites decisively defeated the Canaanites in about 1125 BC.
721 BC Sargon II deported the Israelites.
721-705 BC Deioces is the founder of the Royal dynasty of the Medes on the Iranian plane. He is succeeded by his son, Fravartish, called Phraortes by the Greeks.
700s BC The Cimmerians were defeated by the Scythians, an Iranian people.
700 BC The Leader of the Persians is Hakhamanish (or Achaemenes).
Cool. Paging Dr. Jones....Dr. Indiana Jones.
Very possible.
S'more birdmen, some found in Syria Circa 1,500 BCE or earlier. Sitchin myth says they were shuttle astronauts and figure into the 'Epic of Gilgamesh' as well. The wing configuration in the bottom left photo is identical to the woman's gear.
You sure? When I blow up & clean/brighten it up, it looks like the female is in profile in front of a FOUR winged figure, facing.
Two large, drooping lower wings; two smaller pointy wings, up-swept.
The wings appear as a pair each extending dorsally & anteriorly.
The rear figure also seems to have three (maybe four) vertical objects (candles? feathers?) extending above the woman's head.
The entire impression is of a figure in profile, standing in front of a winged candelabra, or maybe the central part of a "tree of life" as in your upper-left picture
I'd post it, but don't have a host, etc.

Gods, Graves, Glyphs (alpha order)
They will attempt to destroy the area and anything found.
Looks like three wings to me. Might not even be a girl. What think?
On second thought, you could be right.
Maybe it's wishful thinking on their part? that they want to match a 3,000 year old icon with their preconception of a female goddess holding an important place in the ancient religion?
Many of the images of females from ancient times emphasized the female reproductive role, for instance a female totem figure with a swollen belly (pregnancy) and huge breasts.
"...four icons of winged goddesses on bricks which belong to 3000 years ago..."
"And round the throne...are four living creatures....the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing, 'Holy, holy holy is the Lord God Almighty..."
