Same here - but I think he'd be pleased (and impatient) with the progress.

It's more fun to keep subjecting them to the public ridicule until they get it right. Make examples of them.

Here is the comment I submitted:

"I wish that Lord Dartmouth would believe, that the people here begin to think that they have borne oppression long enough, and that if he has a plan of reconciliation he would produce it without delay; but his lordship must know, that it must be such as will satisfy Americans. One cannot foresee events; but from all the observation I am able to make, my next letter will not be upon a trifling subject." - Samuel Adams, Dec 14, 1773

Honorable Citizen Patriots of Boston,

You are cordially invited to attend a Tea Party to commemorate the Submission of the President's Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform Report to the Secretary of the Treasury, to be held on December 16 of the Year of our Lord, 1773.

As this occasion shall be a themed event, please clothe yourself in the attire common to the Native Americans.

The activities will commence at nightfall and shall be held on the ships anchored at the pier in the Boston Harbor.

"We inform you in great Haste that every Chest of Tea on board the three Ships in this Town was destroyed the last Evening without the least Injury to the Vessels or any other property. Our Enemies must acknowledge that these people have acted upon pure & upright Principle. The people at the Cape will we hope behave with propriety and as becomes Men resolved to save their Country." - Samuel Adams, Dec 17, 1773

"the "panel" was 9 (out of 12) college professors? NO businessman, NO public, NO taxpayers, NO wage earners. Just a bunch of theoretical college professors."

Who selected these scholarly pinheads for the President's committee? Remember: A camel is a horse assembled by a committee!!!

My Rep. Bilirakis is already a co-sponsor, thanks to emails and phone calls from guys like me. :)

My Senators are squishy fish, however. I'll keep working on that.

"....or how I managed to count seven when there are only four."

Be careful, you might get invited to sit on the tax reform panel.

"...and maybe even the "near" will soon be dropped as the pols sense the heat behind the taxpayer's feelings and attitudes. Stay tuned!..."

AMEN! "Near" just doesn't seem to cut it. They haven't gotten the message yet. Time to turn up the heat.
