A jouralist says that a lawyer told her that Owens told him that she did not withdraw her name. Hearsay is all the 9 percenters need to substantiate their attacks, apparently.

Both Owen and Brown strike me as women who would relish a fight for nomination and could handily take anything Chuckie Schumer and Bloviating Biden would dish out. That's because they are bright, battle-hardened, and experienced. They are not afraid to be compared to John Roberts, which is one of the reasons that lesser affirmative action choices are loathe to be nominated this go-around. But these outstanding conservative women weren't named by this President. Why?
