My father was a councilman for over 30 years. He said to me one time, "Don't EVER call me a politician!"

He died in 2001. He would have been thoroughly disgusted with politics 4 years later.

I heard that and thought it spoke volumns. I was sitting here working and thinking the direction our country is taking (in general) really scares me for the younger generation.
