Jeff Sessions would be my pick, but he or any other Senator needs to be saved for when a liberal Justice leaves. THAT is the ultimate "nucular" option -- let's see the Senate filibuster one of their own!

They wouldn't, and even Rick Santorum would most likely receive unanimous consent.

I suggest Santorum because he's a young lawyer and is very passionate and out spoken about the Constitution, and he's probably going to lose his re-election anyways. He would be bullet-proof in fellow Pennsylvanian Spector's Judiciary Committee.

I suggest Cornyn because he sat on the Texas Supreme Court for 7 years.

And I like Sessions because the 'Rats denied him a vote long ago! Doesn't matter, though, any of those work for me -- as long as we save it until a liberal Justice retires.
