I wish I could remember, but I read it some place that a White House source said that they did not want to nominate Janice Rogers Brown because they were afraid she would attack the Senators. They were afraid she would not be submissive and that she just might fire back at idiots like Kennedy, Biden and maybe even Specter. Does anyone else remember reading this?

I know Senators claim to cherish an atmosphere of collegiality, but that tradition has been so trashed by Ted-the-Swimmer, Leaky Leahy, and their pals that it might be therapeutic to have a SCOTUS who could fight back.
