I'm not a partisan of: A) the legal profession; B) Enron; or C) Congress. As a Texan once joked to me, "The only organized crime in Texas happens in the chambers of the Texas State Legislature, and actually [dramatic pause and Texas-style good ol' boy chuckle] it's not fair to call that organized!"
I would add that more crime goes on at Scholz's than in the legislature. My limited experience tells me that compared with the small businessmen in that town, the politicians are saints.
