PETER PAUL LETTERS TO APRIL WITT POSTED ON HILLCAP.ORG
Special Note: for those of you who want to just sit there and whine and say, "Oh, no, see I told you, nothing is going to ever happen to the Clintons," we have a special thread just for you --- THE OFFICIAL NOTHING IS EVER GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE CLINTON THREAD. Please go there and complain. The rest of us are going to try to do something meaningful.
April Witt told Peter that the Clintons were not going to like the story. To use Clintonesque language, that appears to be not entirely accurate, depending on the meaning of the word accurate.
The Pajamahadeen has an opportunity here. This story has been ignored for many months as the MSM pretended there was no civil trial looming on the horizon for 2006 and that Hillary Clinton was not up to her eyeballs in the largest campaign finance fraud on record. The story, despite being written by April Witt while wearing her official gold-laced Clinton kneepads, puts the story back into the public discussion. This was not on a little blog somewhere that has a few hundred readers, this was 8,000 words in the WASHINGTON POST.
If you have a question to ask Peter, please put your question in red so that he can easily see it on the thread.. For those who don't know, he is krucader_bravepages_com.
It is time to do some deconstruction of this so-called piece of investigative journalism.
As soon as I hit the button, I realized I did not put it in breaking news. Please correct that. Thanks.
Thanks Doug. BTTT!
Pinging the troops-
Doug, are you keeping a ping list for this, or is there going to be a keyword link on the main Forum page?
Nobody warned Rosen that his new partners had such colorful pasts, he said. To avoid embarrassing liaisons, Rosen said, Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign staff submitted a donor's name to a three-member vetting committee of high-ranking campaign officials. The campaign also forwarded the name to the Washington law firm of Ryan, Phillips, Utrecht & MacKinnon to be further researched, he said. Donors preparing to host an event -- and emblazon their name on the invitations -- received the closest scrutiny, Rosen said.
Tonken and Paul were vetted and passed, Rosen said. The instructions he received regarding Paul, he said, were: "No remarkable information found. Proceed."
Oh, really? I asked a FReeper, who had access to a university computer, to do a Lexis-Nexis search for info on Peter's court case in Miami in the Castro deal. I had the court case FReepmailed back to me in a very short time. I guess the lesson to be learned is that you don't need to go to a lawfirm to vet someone --- JUST GO ASK SOMEONE FROM FREEREPUBLIC FOR HELP AND SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LEGAL FEES!
Then we got him impeached!
Way to go Doug! I think the LIEberals must be wetting themselves about now.
Anyone wanting to be added to Blurblogger's PETER PAUL AND HILLARY ping list, either FReepmail him or reply to him on this thread.
I cannot believe people were expecting something different than a circling of the wagons around the Clintons from the WP.
Great work. BTW, I like hearing you on the Mark Levin show.
BUMPITY BUMP BUMP!!!
So, this is what we get for all the great hype and breathless anticipation for the MSM story that will bury the Clintons? And what did the WAPO give you for the effort, NADA. The same day used car want adds would have been much more informative.
Surprise, surprise.
I hope you will reconsider clarifying the facts regarding the personal roles of Hillary and Bill Clinton in misleading the public and the voters in New York, through deceptive statements made to your paper and to government agencies that legally required accurate and truthful reports. Specifically I would like to reiterate what the record shows after your paper broke the story of my felony convictions from the late 1970's: 1) Hillary's spokesman Howard Wolfson, speaking to WP reporter Lloyd Grove on Hillary's behalf, acknowledged in the Washington Post story dated August 17, 2000 that Hillary knew the cost of the gala was "$1 million plus, but it was an in-kind contribution" ; 2) Wolfson's statements, as quoted in the Post articles of August 15 and August 17, were clearly intended to deceive the public regarding my true overall involvement with Hillary's campaign (producing 2 previous fundraisers in June, 2000) and in producing and underwriting the August 12 gala.
BTTT!
Thanks Doug.
And lose a branch of government? /s
And they used to say that Reagan was the Teflon Man!
April Witt apparently thought it was not important to mention Tendo Oto. How is it that a Japanese citizen was able to contribute $27,000 that was never declared or returned? How was it that he was able to sit right behind the Clintons and illegally attend the fundraising concert
Perfect example, Clinton came out attacking Freeh yesterday over his accusations accusing him of trying to rewrite history of Freeh's failures in the FBI. You know these people are evil. Question: Will Bret Hume or Hannity pick up on this?
