I recall that Thomas, during his confirmation period, was considered to be a judicial lightweight. He turned out pretty well. It was when the rats brought out anita hill, that put him over the top.
They aren't going to do that this time. They are just going to put misleading tidbits in their mouthpiece(The wash compost,the leahy/burger brouhaha) and let the "true conservatives" do their work for them.

I recall that Thomas, during his confirmation period, was considered to be a judicial lightweight. He turned out pretty well.Thomas always suffered the charge that he never spoke or wrote opinions. He just kept silent and continued to vote for the law and the Constitution.
Perhaps Miers will follow his lead.
