Has Pence been perfect? No. However-he has spoken out against the GOPs recent turn to Democrat-lite spendthrifts. And done something about it. Allen has not.
Allen is better than Romney, or Giuliani, but he hasn't really shown any real commitment to conservatism. He's less socially conservative than Bush, perhaps slightly better fiscally but not what we really need.
That's not true. Just two weeks ago George Allen and Jim Talent re-introduced the Line Item Veto Act. And unlike the previous law (struck down by the Supremes) they allow a provision for the President to reduce appropriations.
