If detonated remotely by cell phone to cell phone, it seems it would be easy to identify the phone Hinrich carried to be detonated and then find out from whom that call was received? No?

News Channel 9 in OKC is reporting that the bomber tried to get into the game TWICE.
(Someone just posted this on the Oklahoma board...I didn't see the broadcast, but thought this should be posted.)

I think he was probably wearing something that he thought looked pretty normal. The guy was not dumb, and would not have come in with a vest that screamed "nutcase suicide bomber." However, he obviously didn't look like a normal farmer or fertilizer customer.
Incidentally, I believe ammonium nitrate is used in manufacturing meth, and this might have been what the clerk was looking for. Here in Florida the places where people manufacture meth can usually be detected at some distance because of the smell, which is supposedly due to the fertilizer component.

The involvement of his Pakistani roommate is a stone I'd like to see turned over again and again.
For example, does he have any connection whatsoever with the Pakistanis that were arrested, charged and deported and/or awaiting trial up the road here in Lodi, CA.
Connect the dots - follow the cash.

The guards have obviously been told no more discussions with anyone.

I'm quite curious about the last 5 or 10 minutes of Hinrichs life. I guess I wonder if police were already on scene when the bomb went off.
I think there was a post on the original thread about a woman seeing two (possibly) M.E.-looking men running from the area right before or after the bomb went off. Could they have been US agents tailing Hinrichs or would it be more likely they were from the other side?
Wonder what kind of mechanism caused the bomb to explode. Was it premature or "just right?" Was it meant to cause mass destruction or was it maybe a warning of what could be done, unless "such and such" is done?

It seems - again, I don't know anything about this other than what I have read here - that nothing was left of Hinrich above the waist. So I guess his cell phone would have been gone too.

I read (on a blog) that people at the game were unable to use their cell phones for a period of time during the game.

Good work! It will help to have her involved. The lack of coverage is inexplicable. However, at least we can rest easy that the media is all over the Nick/Jessica breakup and Lindsey Lohan's wreck.

I can vouch for this. My sister in law was at the game and called me to wave hello. I tried back moments later and could not get a signal. Quite honestly, I don't know if this is unusual.

I don't have any knowledge of how and why his bomb exploded, but if it's possible his handlers set it off, what do you think of this as one possibility? His handlers knew they needed a lily-white, and all of a sudden, he's under suspicion.I'm with you on this...A white guy with a backpack is a lot less suspicious than a muzlim looking terrorist with a backpack...It's easy to speculate and I can vision the frustration from the A-rabs as well as the white guy...
He tries to get in a number of gates and having failed, he sits down on a bench wondering what to do with all these explosives...
At the same time, the trigger guys are aware of the failure and don't dare leave this bomb un-detonated...So the white guy and the bomb have got to go...

Thank you Doug for getting Jayna involved. I've been meaning to buy her book ever since it came out and never seemed to get around to it. I just ordered it from Amazon and would encourage any other Freepers who haven't read it yet to do the same.

From what I have read, some of the London bombers apparently thought they were going home after the bombing. And some of the Madrid bombers actually did go home without any problem after they had dropped off and armed their bombs.
Interesting, because not all of the 9/11 hijackers knew the full plan either. Only the leaders of each group, I guess, and maybe one other. But, I remember that the majority of the 9/11 hijackers did not know that they weren't returning either.
