Agreed.
I was b*tchin' like everybody else a couple of days ago, but W may have made the wisest choice to appease his base by choosing Miers.
There are plenty of wars to fight right now. We don't need to be flailing around like a bunch of Dimocrats.

There are plenty of wars to fight right now. Interesting. For the last 5 years, every time Bush has done somthing to appease the left the response has always been "don't worry, it's all about the judges". Now that we get to the judges, and Bush appeases Schumer, Reid, et. al., the response is "don't worry, there are plenty of wars to fight right now".

APPEASE HIS BASE? He needlessly told his base to trust him (wink), when we haven't seen any reason to for a long, long time.
That is the reason this is a huge slap in the face - his base has to WONDER if this appeases them or not. Sorry, he did not appease his base - and if he looks like a deer in the headlights as to why so many of us who have waited for this for so many years are ticked, then he is as clueless as many here who think they have been appeased. I haven't been. I am not alone.
