Here is his logic: He has a strong record of nominating conservatives to the courts and fighting for them, even renominating them. That's pretty much my interpretation of what Dobson said, too.

Exactly. It's not just a "feeling" either. I wrote earlier today that there are strong signs that Harriet Miers' promotes a culture of life. She takes care of her aged mother and she is a longtime, active member of Valley View Christian Church. I have worked with members of this church with various pro-life projects here in Dallas and I can't imagine a pro-choicer feeling comfortable there. It's a good church.

I think that Bush has made a good choice and that a year from now social and economic conservatives will be very satisfied with Miers' service on the Supreme Court.

I'm looking into my "crystal ball," so to speak. I think that perhaps some of these very critical people will be singing another tune in a few years. (Someone today posted her picture with Helen Thomas, a pretty low blow, IMO-- especially so early on.) However, I can't vouch for the accuracy of my crystal ball.
