He might still be able to be re-elected as DA in liberal Travis County, but it seems to me that he's gambling any aspirations to higher office, as well as his place in history, by bringing these indictments.
Furthermore, if they go down in flames, which I suspect, there could be a backlash against these orchestrated sleazy Rat tactics.

This whole thing about the Travis County DA, being elected by only voters in Travis County being able to investigate people statewide has got to be unconstitutional.

Getting re-elected should be the least of his worries! He should be disbarred like his buddy WJC if you ask me since he has violated any number of the canons of ethics. People like him are the ones who give lawyers a bad name.
