These were just about the exact words George Bush #1 said when selecting Souter for the Supreme Court.

C-Span showed old film clips last night, and I watched some of the Souter nomination.

Forgive me if I'm skeptical hearing the same words about Miers.

I mean, he's GONNA say that, right? I don't believe him.

And the tax cuts aren't all that meaningful when he has continued to spend us into a deeper and deeper hole. I said it when Reagan was president and I'll say it again. Borrow and Borrow, spend and spend, is not a legitimate replacement for Tax and Tax, spend and spend.

And the spending in Reagans time looks tame next to what they're spending today. And we haven't had inflation since then either, so it shouldn't be that much different.
