She was co-chair of the Texas State Lottery Commissison! (sracasm button off)
Simply put, she is NOT QUALIFIED.
As I said on another topic...
I am going to be sick. Schumer is on right now, talking about how Bush's nomination of Miers is a rejection by Bush of the "extreme" members of his party. He is expressing "hope" that Miers is a "mainstream" nominee.
He just called it a "good first day" for the process. I feel like I am going to throw up.
Could be 3. He admires her.

She also got the Sandra Day O'connor Award for women. It's out on google.
That's about to become as infamous as the International Arabian Horse Association.
Neither is Ted Nugent, but I'd much rather have him on the court than this woman. At least we know Ted wouldn't give us any BS on the Constitution.
Eyouch!
Harry Reid's in love with her as well.
Bad move, Georgie Boy (One of dozens).
She's a sacrifice. She will not be confirmed and both Bush and Miers know it. Bush's second nomination will be more conservative and Bush will fight for a confirmation.
Good general rule: If UpChuck Schumer is not unhappy, then I am.
Andyou know that Ted would actually bring his cross bow to court to intimidate those lawyers in front of the bench!
I've heard that she was on Senator Reid's approved list. You could take Reid's approved list, cross off the title and relabel it as "KarlInOhio's disapproved list". Time for a new tagline.

What nonsense!
No. I believed Bush and was wrong to do so.
Oh man, the delusions abound.
What makes you think she won't be confirmed?
What makes you think she agreed to lose a confirmation vote?
There were tons of established judicial righties out there, and Bush chooses this person.
What are the qualifications for a justice on the Supreme Court?
