You keep saying things like this and the fact that she is not married with children. It seems you'd only be happy if she were some prom queen or June Cleaver.
If you think her age is an important issue, consider this:
It is quite possible for a 60 year old to serve for 20-25 years on the bench. You can accomplish a lot in 20-25 years.
However, if she turns out to be a bad addition, she does have a limited bench life, so to speak.
Is it really desirable to appoint someone 40-50 to a position they will hold for life with virtually no accountability? If absolute power corrupts absolutely, sounds like a recipe for disaster!
Which is better for you -- a carton of milk or a twinkie? Limited shelf life is often a good thing! ;-)
