Fox News: A lot of conservatives are expressing concerns about this nominee. I just don't understand this pick. Why would he nominate a 60-year old, when he has the chance to shape the court for 30-40 years as may very well be the case with Roberts?
Like many on this board, I was hoping for JRB and her proven conservative track record. Guess I can sit down and shut up now.

I'm with you on JRB, she was my favorite. But I did notice this in the Washington Post article:
Miers was active in a 1992 battle in the American Bar Association, arguing vehemently but unsuccessfully against a resolution supportive of abortion rights.
Yet the Dems like her? What am I missing?
